Spy photographers spotted something that could be 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. According to these images, there are some changes coming for the new edition. We believe the company is testing it on the streets and picking up the best combination. It is not easy to say what is GMC preparing since the vehicle is under heavy camouflage. But, we saw few parts that could suffer refresh or redesign. As about engine, modifications are coming there too. New Sierra will be more economical, and probably more powerful. Trim level and prices won’t surprise all fans of the truck.
2019 GMC Sierra 1500 performance
The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 will be available with few engines. First of them, the base unit will come with the 4.3-l V-6 drivetrain. There will be two automatic transmissions, a 6-speed, and an 8-pace gearbox. In combination with the 4.3-l unit, the system can produce 280 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Another option is 5.3-l V-8. This Tech3 powertrain is good for over 350 hp and close to 400 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is optional to standard RWD. Estimation on fuel economy is around 20 mpg combined. There are slight differences between V-6 and V-8, RWD and AWD models.
2019 GMC Sierra 1500 redesign
From what we can see from spy photos, there are no many changes on the most of the body. The rear end and cabin are pretty much the same, as well as the dimensions. Heavy cover is on the front and nose, so it is obvious what is going to be changed. With refresh on bumper and grille, we can get the bolder truck. Also, 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 will follow modern trends and innovations inside the cabin. This truck will be safe, with some new features on the way. Working could be long and painful, so the comfort of the seats must be at highest level. And that is exactly where designers are paying extra attention while building suck vehicles.
