2019 Ford F-250 King ranch, Platinum, Lariat, Specs

It looks like the American manufacturer already prepares some updates for its heavy-duty series, including 2019 Ford F-250. According to the latest reports, we should see some cosmetic updates, but changes in terms of the equipment as well. The current generation of these trucks is present for about two years. It came in 2016, as the 2017 year model.

This is the third generation of super-duty series, based on the 13th generation of the legendary light-duty F-150. It offers much more than just a strong capability. It is a well-designed truck, which looks pretty attractive and also offers tons of equipment, including latest hi-tech features. There are two powerful engines in the offer, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. For the next year, we could also see a new gearbox in the offer, besides cosmetic changes. Expect it to arrive somewhere late in the year.

2019 Ford F-250 updates

As we’ve already mentioned, the 2019 Ford F-250 could receive few cosmetic updates. Rest of the truck will remain pretty much the same. This model came two years ago, so there is no need for bigger changes at the moment, especially if we consider its utility purpose. There are several versions of the offer, with different cab designs, bed sizes etc.

Compared to the light-duty F-150, chassis has been reworked completely, to provide more strength for hauling and similar things. Speaking of visual updates, the new 2019 Ford F-250 will most likely get an updated front end, with minor changes on the grille and, probably, front fascia. Rest of the truck would remain the same. The interior design should also remain the same, at least in terms of design. On the other side, some tweaks in terms of standard equipment are possible.

2019 Ford F-250 trim levels

The 2019 Ford F-250 will come in six trim levels in total.

The base XL is a real workhorse, focused on hauling. There aren’t too many conveniences with it. Still, there are things like air-conditioning, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a driver information display, and a four-speaker audio system.

The next one is XLT, which adds 18-inch alloy wheels, power side mirrors, 4.2-inch display, a USB port, and a CD player, satellite radio, cruise control etc.

A mid-range Lariat seems like a rational choice. This trim also features things like dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, power-adjustable pedals, rear parking sensors, 8-inch touchscreen, 10-speaker audio system etc.

The King Ranch adds several visual details, but also more equipment like remote start, upgraded leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, driver-seat memory settings, and navigation.

The Platinum trims include all above, but adds things like 20-inch wheels, LED lights, automatic vipers etc.

Finally, there is a top-range Limited, with standard features like a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic sunroof and unique interior color scheme.

2019 Ford F-250 engines

The 2019 Ford F-250 will continue with the same two engines as the current model. Base versions will come with a 6.2-liter V8 unit, which is good for about 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.

On the other side, if you want some really extreme towing results, there is a mighty 6.7-liter diesel engine, which delivers impressive 450 horsepower and 935 pound-feet of torque.

Both engines come in a pair with a 6-speed automatic transmission, but latest reports suggest the new 10-speed gearbox will be offered for this truck soon, starting from the next year.
