GM’s offer of heavy duty trucks starts with this one. While GMC models are more luxury oriented, this is a true working machine. The history of these trucks started at the end of last century and so far we have seen three generations of it. Current model was launched in 2013 and according to some reports, some changes are expected for the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. This model will probably come refreshed. There are several sources on the internet that claim that 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD will come refreshed. This update should include many changes. Most of them are expected to be visual. Base shape of the truck will definitely remain. However, many tweaks are expect. First of all, we expect to see new front end. Chevrolet will probably do the same, or very similar job as with light duty models. We don’t expect changes under the hood for 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. Base model will be powered with 6.0 liter V8, which has max output of 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Optional engine will be 6.6 liter Duramax diesel, which is good enough for 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of twist. Both engines will be paired 6-speed automatic transmission.
2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD – release date and price
This model is expected to come somewhere in the fall of next year. Base model will cost around 33.000 dollars. Top variants of 2017 Chevrolet Silverado will cost over 60.000 dollars.
