Current generation of the Ram 1500 is quite new, since few years ago it was redesigned. Ever since, company adds few more features to refresh this model, and upcoming one is going to get exciting addition. New effort to attract buyers is coming with new 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel. It is upgraded standard model, with better aerodynamics, aesthetic and performance. However, this off-road pickup truck keeps the same engine range and look, but its additions should make it more attractive.
2016 Ram 1500 Rebel engine
Buyers will be eligible to choose between two gasoline types of the 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel, with smaller or bigger powertrain. Base option is 3.6-l V6. This unit can deliver up to 305 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, there is drivetrain for buyers that want more power. A 5.7-l V8 can produce 398 hp and 410 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive system is standard, but it can be switched with all-wheel drive. Power is sent to wheels through 6-speed automatic transmission, while manual gearbox is also an option. Ram 1500 is available in 2016 year model with diesel engine, but this one still hasn’t been confirmed for Rebel. If that happens, truckers will feel it on power end, and fuel consumption, which should be decreased and mileage boosted.
2016 Ram 1500 Rebel redesign
Main upgrades on the 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel are going to happen on visual styling. An 18-inch wheels comes standard, with tires for all seasons and all kind of terrains. Most changes come on the front of the truck with new grille and bumpers. Cross-hair styling for grille, a trademark of Ram trucks, is removed and replaced with more aggressive, interlocking type. Also, new lamps with black inserts and black moldings are installed for more attractive appearance. Inside there are few touches, but not as on exterior.
Dashboard is revisited, and other features are similar to these which could be found on premium models of 2016 Ram 1500. Suspension is also upgraded. There is 10 inches of ground clearance and 12 inches of wheel travel, both for better off-roading.
