The Lincoln Mark LT is a full-size truck produced by Ford’s luxury division. This model originally came in 2005 and it was produced only until 2008, due to weak sales results. However, in Mexico this model had great results. Company decided to release a second generation, which was designed especially for Mexican market. This model was produced until 2014. After few years of brake, there are rumors that company will bring back this pickup. It will come as 2016 Lincoln Mark LT, according to these reports. New model is expected to be once again offered for the U.S. and Canada market.
2016 Lincoln Mark LT redesign
As we already mentioned, company plans to make a comeback of this luxury pickup. New model will come completely redesigned and should be once again based on the Ford’s most popular vehicle F-150. The 2016 Lincoln Mark LT will feature the same platform, chassis, engines and many other parts. In visual aspect, this truck will definitely feature the rigidity of F-150. However, it will come with its own look, which will be adapted to the brand’s new design language. Beside unique look, 2016 Lincoln Mark LT will also feature better-quality materials than F-150.
2016 Lincoln Mark LT interior
Same thing is expected inside. Interior will also come completely new. We will see new styling, which will be more luxury-oriented, compared to F-150. In 2016 Mark LT we will see better-quality materials, like premium leather seats and similar stuff. Also, this pickup will be very rich when it is about equipment. However, you should consider that all of these are just rumors, so you shouldn’t take this too much seriously.
2016 Lincoln Mark LT engine
When it is about engines, we known what to expect from 2016 Lincoln Mark LT. New model will borrow some units from F-150. However, we don’t know which engines exactly will be used for this luxury truck. Current Ford’s pickup uses several engines. There are three V6 units and one V8 in offer. We predict that 2016 Lincoln Mark LT will use V8 Coyote for use, and probably at least one of these six-cylinder units. When it is about transmission, expect same 6-speed automatic.
2016 Lincoln Mark LT release date and price
This model is for now just a rumor. At this point, we can only predict that launch date will be in late 2015/early 2016 period. More precise details about release date and price for 2016 Lincoln Mark LT are unknown.
