The 2016 Frontier Crew cab configuration is available in five trims: S, SV with V6, Desert Runner, SL and Pro-4X. Comparing to King cab, there is no SV variant with 4-cylinder engine. However, with higher trim, more options are offered, and also price raises. Outside, there are 16-inch steel wheels for base vehicles, and SL trim has 18-inch, 6-spoke alloy wheels. There are also many other differences between King cab and Crew cab, but most notable on design are that Crew cab configuration has better critics for safety, infotainment and other cabin features. However, King cab has its advantages, but it doesn’t mean that Crew cab is bad in these areas.

Comparing to King cab, 2016 Frontier Crew cab is available with only one engine. Under its hood is V6 drivetrian. From this 4.0-l engine there are 261 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque produced. However, power goes through two different transmission boxes. One option is 6-speed manual, while automated gearbox is offered with 5-speeds. These features also depend on trim levels, since not all transmissions are offered for various trims. Since there are no much changes on the vehicle, it is likely that new Nissan Frontier Crew cab sprints to 60 mph in 8 seconds. Estimated fuel economy is 16 mpg for city and 22 mpg on highway, and 21 mpg for Pro-4X models.
