Drivetrain of the heavy-duty truck is 6.2-l SOHC V8. It has 2 valves and Flex Fuel system. Except for 2016 Ford F250 Regular cab, this engine is available for other models in F250 lineup, but also for F350 trucks. Horsepower and torque level are superior. This powertrain produces 385 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, and it is best result in the class. Complete lineup of F250, including Regular cab configuration, can be upgraded with CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine package. With it, this truck can run on natural gas or unleaded gasoline. Engine is mated to a 6-speed auto transmission, which adds some lb-ft to overall torque level. Power is sent to either rear- or all wheels. Maximum towing capacity is 12,900 pounds.

Super-duty trucks for 2016 Ford lineup are available in five trims. First two, entry-level XL, and higher trim XLT are available for 2016 Ford F250 Regular cab. This pickup is equipped with standard accessories, such as manual air conditioning, two-speaker audio system, and tilt/telescoping steering wheel. Outside, Regular cab F250 gets steel bumpers painted in black. Grille is also in same color. The XLT trim adds 18-inch wheels and SiriusXM satellite radio. Bed on the regular cab is 8 feet long, while short bed is not available for this configuration.

2016 Ford F250 Regular cab – price

The 2016 Ford F250 Regular cab XL model is entry-level vehicle for entire super-duty lineup for next year. Its base price starts from $32,300, without any additional package. Higher trim, XLT, is more expensive. For its additional features and accessories, its value is higher and lowest price is $36,300. With some additional options included, this truck could cost closer to $50,000 mark.
