Next year will bring new pickup truck to market. It is vehicle from Italian factory, 2016 Fiat Toro, whose pictures have been leaked. Early rumors says that South America will be the continent where this model will be released first, and it should happen very soon, maybe in first quarter of next year. New double-cab truck is awaited from entire truckers world. New Toro uses same platform as Jeep Renegade. However, tough competition is in this segment. Other rivals established their brands for a long time, so tough battle expects 2016 Toro versus Toyota, Honda and Ford models.
2016 Fiat Toro engine
Power for the 2016 Fiat Toro will be propelled from 1.8-l drivetrain. However, there is another, diesel option. A 2.0-l V6 can produce around 170 hp, and first unit is capable to deliver 140 ponies. Transmission should be 6-speed automatic, with manual gearbox offered separately. Power is sent to front wheels, on both petrol and diesel models. However, there should be special model offered for diesel engine, with 4×4 drive and 9-speed transmission box. Manual shifting is available for both drives, 4×2 or 4×4. Estimated fuel economy is unknown yet, but we guess that new Fiat Toro is offering mileage similar to other vehicles in its class, since power output is not radically higher from others.
