Return of the Chevy Avalanche truck will make happy all users that drove it before. It will continue to be 4-door vehicle with room for 5 or 6 passengers. This utility truck was removed from production in 2013, and now it is back as 2016 Chevrolet Avalanche. Reasons for pause are unclear. It could be because selling numbers were not so good, so company decided to refresh it in few years. However, since its launch, this sport utility truck was very popular. Since full-size truck is going to share platform with Suburban and Cadillac Escalade models, some other features could be borrowed. Chevy is planning a lot unique details and accessories, but also their functionality shout be more important. However, 2016 Avalanche is different than any other sport utility truck with detachable back window and panels. Bed should get watertight with these, so that is pretty interesting change.

Last model of Avalanche had only one drivetrain unit. It was 5.3-l V8 unit, with 6 speed gearbox. For 2016 Chevrolet Avalanche there is no official information, but there are two different thoughts about powertrain. According to one, same engine and transmission are planned for 2016 year model. However, new truck would have improved fuel economy because many new features will boost it, and weight drop is also expected. Nevertheless, better mileage is expected if company decides to go with another engine. According to rumors, drivetrain of 2015 Tahoe could be carried over. It is same V8, but with different characteristics.

Latest predictions say that 16/23 mpg is mileage for this model with rear-wheel drive, and slightly less for AWD. The 15 mpg for city ride, and 22 mpg for highway run.
